    Border control

Danish marinas are required to carry out border control.
This responsibility initially lies with the associations that receive visiting sailors.

If a vessel arrives from a country that is not part of the Schengen Agreement, two actions must be taken:

    • Provide instructions to the vessel’s captain
    • Notify the relevant authorities – Habour Master, Thomas Krüger Bergstrand
      • Examples of countries not part of Schengen include: the United Kingdom, Ireland, Russia, Croatia, Turkey, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Albania, and North Macedonia. This also applies if, for example, a German or Danish vessel arrives at the FTL harbor after having visited the United Kingdom.
      • If it becomes known that a vessel registered in a Schengen country has visited a non-Schengen country before arriving at Aarhus Lystbådehavn, the procedure must be followed
      • At the moment Russian ships are not allowed to enter Aarhus Lystbådehavn.

    Rules for using service areas

The service areas are defined as shown on the overview maps.

From mid-April to mid-June and again in September and October, the service areas are reserved for vessels undergoing maintenance. Boats on trailers are referred to the winter storage area during this period.

Use of the service areas is at your own risk.Grinding and sandblasting must follow the harbor regulations.
Vessels must be placed in the service areas in a way that does not obstruct the hauling in or launching of other vessels. Vessels may remain in the service areas for a maximum of two weeks. Work must be actively carried out on the vessel during this time. Mooring at the east side of the service pier is only permitted for short periods in connection with hauling, launching, repairs, or similar activities — and only when crew is on board or the vessel is under supervision. Parking spaces may be cordoned off as needed, in agreement with the harbor office. If you need to work on your boat for more than two weeks, please contact the harbor office.

    Jet ski navigation

    • You must have a jet ski license (vandscooterbevis).
    • Sailing within 300 meters of the coastline is prohibited.
    • The maximum blood alcohol limit is 0.5‰.
    • A life jacket or buoyancy aid must be available for everyone on board.
    • The International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs) also apply to jet skis.
    • The maximum speed in the harbor is 3 knots.

For harbors connected to the mainland, the 300-meter zone is measured from the end of the harbor. Jet skis must be launched from the ramp at Fiskerivej. Furthermore It is prohibited to sail in the canals at Aarhus Ø and to enter the commercial harbor.

Please show consideration and keep a safe distance from pedestrians and other vulnerable users on the harbor.
